Amanda McGee, MA, LLPC

Hello! My name is Amanda McGee, and I am a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor here at Higher Heights Counseling Services. I received a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wayne State University.

I specialize in and am passionate about working with children, adolescents, and young adults. I have worked with children, youth, and adults in various settings such as schools, church, development centers, and of course the therapeutic setting.

My passion for counseling came from my desire to help God’s people and make a genuine difference in their lives. My goal as a counselor is to provide a safe, comfortable, and non-judgmental environment where my clients can express themselves freely. 

Often life's circumstances can leave us feeling heavy, scared, uncertain, lost and confused. However, these feelings do not have to define our future. Learning how to handle and work through life's uncertainties is one of the many beautiful outcomes of therapy. 

You do not have to do this alone and as therapist, I will collaborate with you to create a treatment plan that is geared to your needs. I am here to guide and assist you in your journey of healing and self-awareness and together we will work to develop a plan of action that is specific for you.
